MARFA IV

Part IV.  A brief ode to Donald Judd.  The Chinati Foundation and the arts movement in Marfa Texas was founded by Donald Judd in the 70's.  He took 340 acres of open desert sprawl, and turned it into permanent gallery space for large contemporary art.  I have photographed none of that.

I felt particularly akin to his obsessive order and placement of things about the studios in which he worked.  My new motto in life after this week spent in Marfa is WWDJD.  You were not allowed to take photos in any of his buildings or studios, so these we mostly shot from behind the glass... and some photos of his perfect and simple furniture.
